Park(ing) Day 2010
What: “Park(ing) Day is an annual international event to promote better uses of public space by converting on-street parking for private autos into people-friendly public space.” Join the Barnard Ecoreps at their Park(ing) Spot! Learn about Barnard’s environmental policies, hang out, read, chat, listen to music, etc.

Waste Potluck: What about our trash?
What: Ever wondered what happens to your trash when you throw it away? It may be out of sight for you, but it’s got to go somewhere! Come join Barnard Ecoreps for our first spring semester potluck, find out where your trash goes, and join us for a discussion on the political and social issues behind trash disposal. Barnard Ecoreps will provide all the food, all you have to do is come.

Food Potluck: Building Community in Community Gardens
What are community gardens? How do they work? What are the differences between community gardens and communal gardening? Come hear the members of the CU Food Sustainability Project and Grant Gardens speak about the different communal natures of different community gardens. You don’t need to cook (but can if you want!) and always remember you own dishes!
